On the 4th April 2022,  the UK Government announced moves that it will recognise crypto stable coins as a valid form of payment as part of wider plans to make Britain a global hub for crypto asset technology and investment.

The Chancellor of the Exchequer, the Right Honourable Rishi Sunik MP, stated "It’s my ambition to make the UK a global hub for crypto asset technology, and the measures we’ve outlined today will help to ensure firms can invest, innovate and scale up in this country. We want to see the businesses of tomorrow – and the jobs they create - here in the UK, and by regulating effectively we can give them the confidence they need to think and invest long-term. This is part of our plan to ensure the UK financial services industry is always at the forefront of technology and innovation."

The purpose of this website is to help those who are new to crypto, to understand some of the opportunities that are available to them, as a result of the transformational changes to our lives that is being brought about by cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. 

In March 2020, as we entered lockdown in the UK, I became very taken with blockchain technology and the rapid growth of the "crypto world".  As a result, I am now fortunate to own a number of  major crypto coins, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana and I have a financial involvement with a number of crypto based projects.  Having  successfully navigated many of the falsehoods and scams that exist out there in the "crypto world", I feel confident that I am in a position to help others safely enter and benefit from the good that is in the "crypto world". 

OK, so what is crypto?   Crypto assets are simply the greatest opportunity for an individual to create wealth today and for the foreseeable future. Crypto and blockchain technology is at the forefront of the “Digital Revolution” taking place this decade.  Whether it is Artificial Intelligence (AI),  Robotics and Automation, DNA Sequencing and Gene Editing, Next Generation Internet, or Space Exploration, crypto assets and blockchain technology are at the heart of this revolution. The bottom line is that through blockchain technology, each and every one of us can take advantage of this new order of investment opportunities. The blockchain is the future of our world and crypto is the future of money.

OK, how much does it cost?   The beauty of crypto is that you could get started for as little as £1, indeed many crypto exchanges will give you free Bitcoin, if you register with them. There are many projects where a modest investment of £100 or £250 or £500 will get you started. At the other end of the scale there are high net worth individuals like Michael Saylor (MicroStrategy) and Elon Musk (Tesla & Space X) who have bought billions of US dollars’ worth of Bitcoin for themselves and their companies. 

Alright, isn’t it very risky?   Everything we do in our lives has risk attached to it; the key with crypto is to minimise the risk by doing your own research, by using best practice and by following in the footsteps of those with experience and knowledge. This is where I can help.

UPLIFT - From the success of the crowd funded project D.AI.SY., has been borne UPLIFT, a smart contract, blockchain decentralised autonomous organisation (DAO)  bringing Decentralised Crowd Offerings (DCOs) to stakers. In many ways a DCO is similar to a conventional crowdfunding offering, albeit transactions are in crypto and the use of blockchain technology delivers a far greater level of security and transparency than conventional crowdfunding.
